How to make application into a "site"?
Hello Community
After farm creation WSS 3.0 states that if you start IE it will display a
"default team site", so I type in the
http://servername:port/default.aspx
and got the Central Administration page instead of a "default team site".
What happened to the "default team site" that was supposed to exist
after the sharepoint farm was created?
That is actually secondary to the main problem. The main problem is that
I have taken an ASP.Net application created in VS2008 and I want that to be
the "Main Site" in this WSS 3.0 implementation of Sharepoint farm.
When I say "Main Site" that means when users types the url of the Layouts folder in WSS 3.0
they should see the ASP.Net application that I created in VS2008 which now exists
in the Layouts folder.
On that page there will be a link to a "Team Site" that I will create.
The question is how do I turn the ASP.Net application that I converted
and put into the layouts folder in WSS 3.0 into a "site" in the Sharepoint farm?
Thank you
Shabeaut
